Constipation

Definition:

Constipation results when waste material moves too slowly through the large bowel, resulting in infrequent elimination. In most instances constipation arises from lack of fiber, water, and oil, in the diet. Other causes can be inadequate exercise, high consumption of refined carbohydrates, some prescription drugs, especially painkillers and antidepressants. It can also be common during pregnancy

Symptoms:

This condition may lead to many different ailments, including appendicitis, diverticulitis, fatigue, indigestion, lower back discomfort, varicose veins, poor skin quality, and in some cases more serious diseases like bowel cancer.

Holistic Treatment Plan:

The first part of the treatment consists of adding more water to your diet, along with fiber, and oils. Reducing or eliminating junk food will also help. Increasing your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables with liberal amounts of olive oil is also helpful. Proper digestion can improve this condition.
