Definition:
High blood pressure usually referred to as hypertension, can be a complex problem.
When blood pressure is elevated, the heart must work harder. Ultimately
this can lead to kidney failure, heart failure, or stroke. High
blood pressure is often associated with coronary heart disease,
arteriosclerosis, kidney disorder, obesity, diabetes, carbohydrate
sensitivity, and stress.
Symptoms:
Because high blood pressure usually causes no symptoms until complications
develop, it is known as the "silent killer". Warning signs
may include headaches, sweating with little exertion, rapid pulse,
and shortness of breath, dizziness, and visual disturbances. If
you have any of these symptoms be sure to have your blood pressure
checked. In cases where blood pressure fluctuates up and down check
intake of refined carbohydrates. Refined carbohydrates can elevate
blood pressure dramatically and eliminating refined carbohydrates
from your diet and adding more protein can control this condition
Holistic Treatment Plan:
There are good alternatives to the prescribed medications to help
keep blood pressure within the normal range.
