Definition:
Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease that causes severe pain, inflammation, and deformity
of the affected joints. As in osteoarthritis, the joints deteriorate as well as the bone
surfaces. Today there are two schools of thought concerning the causes of this condition.
The first and widely held opinion is that rheumatoid arthritis is an auto-immune disease
caused by the immune system attacking the cartilage and bone, thus causing its
destruction. The second opinion is that the immune system is actually attacking
microorganism that resides in the joints. This opinion was first formulated by Dr. Sabin -
the developer of the oral polio vaccine. He treated rheumatoid arthritis as if it was an
infection and produced good results. Therefore my treatment is based on the infection
theory. It provides nutritional support for re-building cartilage and bone, but it also
deals with any underlying infection in the joints.
Symptoms:
Swelling. Painful and disfigured joints - mainly fingers, shoulders, and knees.
Holistic Treatment Plan:
Provide nutrients designed to eliminate the possible infection,
the healing of the affected joints, and reduce the inflammation.
